CrossFit Radio Episode 355

On Episode 355 of CrossFit Radio, host Justin Judkins interviewed Coast Range CrossFit owner and 2013 Reebok CrossFit Games competitor Wes Piatt. Judkins also interviewed perennial CrossFit Games athlete Rebecca Voigt, who is now running the affiliate CrossFit Training Yard. This episode was webcast on Nov. 12, 2014.

As a CrossFit Games competitor and affiliate owner, he gave his thoughts on whether a coach needs to compete in the sport of CrossFit, and he described how being a competitor has made him a better coach. Piatt talked about the community at his affiliate and how he helps his athletes accomplish their nutrition goals.

17:09 Rebecca Voigt has plenty of experience competing at the CrossFit Games, and the seven-time competitor was an obvious choice to coach USA Team at this year’s CrossFit Invitational, held Nov. 9 in San Jose, California. Voigt talked about the competition and what it was like to coach her team to victory, and she explained how she wanted the team to get to know each other better in order to communicate effectively. Voigt recently opened an affiliate and explained what the first few months have been like at CrossFit Training Yard.
